Господдержка предприятий-производителей строительных материалов

A cluster dedicated to art glass and the visual arts may soon be established in Rostov-on-Don, featuring studios where artisans work in full view of the public. The concept was proposed by Yuri Ignatov, General Director of the Ignatov Art Glass Studio.
The vision is for the new space to bring together artists, glassblowers, stained-glass makers, blacksmiths, sculptors, and ceramicists. Each artisan would be able to pursue their craft at their own natural pace, while visitors could observe the creation process and offer feedback to the artists.
Currently, tours of the studio are held on weekends, when most of the team is off-duty. Hosting guests during the work week is not feasible, as the production environment is too noisy. The proposed cluster would resolve this issue, allowing visitors to observe the work without disrupting the artisans’ operations.
"The cluster would solve this problem. Artisans could continue their work, and visitors would be able to watch the process," explains Ignatov.
In addition to the studios, the cluster is planned to include a café, where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee and engage with the artisans, learning about their techniques and the secrets of their craft in a comfortable setting.
Another goal of the project is to revive interest in artistic professions. According to Yuri Ignatov’s estimates, there are currently no more than 300 artists, blacksmiths, sculptors, and ceramicists remaining in Rostov.
The project has already been presented to city official Alexander Skryabin, Rostov Region Minister of Culture Anna Dmitrieva, Minister of Economic Development Pavel Pavlov, and Besarion Meskhi, Rector of Don State Technical University (DSTU). Discussions regarding the timeline, funding, and location for the future cluster are currently underway with city and regional authorities.
