According to the publication, production equipment and components are purchased from the Russian Federation or imported from China, where parts for European machine tools are created. However, transportation prices have risen by almost 40% since the summer, and prices may continue to rise due to rising fuel costs.

“There are not many large manufacturers of such glass containers, and the increase in logistics prices affected everyone,” writes Baza.

Sources note that due to rising prices, some pharmaceutical companies will abandon glass containers where possible and replace them with plastic ones.
