An import-substituting production of glass for trains will be opened in the Moscow region for 500 million rubles

The Moscow region continues to develop an import substitution program. Now, Mosavtosteklo, one of the oldest enterprises in the glass industry, has announced its intention to launch import-substituting production. The company will build a new production building for 500 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Housing Policy of the Moscow Region.

The building will be placed on the territory of the enterprise in Dolgoprudny. The production will produce glass for trains. At the moment, the company produces 30% of glass products for Russian trains. The new building will help produce glass for foreign locomotives.

The area of the new building will be over 10 thousand square meters. m. They intend to implement the project by 2026. A total of 40 jobs will be created. “The expansion will allow the company to increase its capacity and expand the production of glass products for high-speed electric trains, trams, diesel trains, buses and other equipment,” the ministry said.
