One of the places where you can still see how New Year's toys are made from glass can be found literally a few kilometers from Moscow - in Khimki. At the Studio Soyuz technology park, they show in detail the process of their production. MSK1.RU correspondents went there and learned all the secrets of production.
The base of the future toy is blown from a glass tube. They are brought here packaged in several pieces, more precisely 10 kilograms - the wall thickness and diameter are indicated on the pack. Many of these packs stand in the far corner of the workshop.
Tatyana shows us how to turn an ordinary glass tube into a future ball. She is an experienced glass blower. She entered the profession more than 40 years ago, when she was 25. Then the woman learned to blow toys directly in production.
First, the glassblower measures the length of the glass tube he needs. Then it heats it at the point where it wants to separate and pulls it in different directions. Thus, the workpiece is sealed on one side, and on the other there remains a hollow tail, through which it is then inflated.
In just a couple of minutes, in the hands of a master, an inconspicuous tube turns into a neat ball.
After this, the Christmas tree decorations are either completely painted or a design is immediately applied to them. Anya is the last person to work in the technology park. She carefully displays every detail on the New Year's toy.
The hedgehog on the ball is not accidental - it is a symbol of the workshop. His images can also be found on the walls of the technology park. And here lives a real white hedgehog.
-“He bit everyone except Anya,” says an employee of the technology park.
At this time, a tiny, palm-sized hedgehog hides in the girl’s hood. Anya carefully takes it out from there and holds it in her hand.
But you can decorate a toy without the help of paints. To do this, brush over the workpiece with PVA glue, and then apply a special colored powder.
At the end, the toy is assembled so that it can be hung on the Christmas tree.
