In Nikolsk, traditions of crystal craft are preserved

Even in a pandemic, when many enterprises were forced to suspend work, Nikolsky masters managed to increase the production of crystal products, the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the region notes.

In particular, it was emphasized that the volume of shipped products of the Bakhmetevsky Plant enterprise for 2021 amounted to 48 million rubles, which is 22.3% higher than in 2020.

It is noted that the main task of the enterprise is to revive the traditions of Russian crystal production, but taking into account modern requirements and the experience of foreign manufacturers. The traditions of making highly artistic crystal products, including those in silver and gold decor, continue. Often they are created in a single copy.

Products are ennobled by matte engraving, deep etching, Venetian thread, diamond cutting, painting with paints and gold.

On May 28, during a working trip to the Nikolsky district, the plant was visited by the Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the region, Almaz Khakimov.

The Minister emphasized the importance of preserving the traditions of crystal craft in Nikolsk for the development of the glass industry in the region.
