In the Krasnodar Territory, 15 enterprises will receive 1 billion rubles by the end of the year

In 2023, four commissions were held to select import-substituting projects for state support, the press service of the Krasnodar Territory reported.

“Thanks to the support of the region, 15 industrial companies will launch or expand import-substituting production. These are priority products for the region from machine tool and mechanical engineering enterprises, chemical, pharmaceutical and light industries, and the timber industry. We will allocate 1 billion rubles for their development by the end of the year. We launch some factories from scratch and create production facilities that have no analogues in Russia. This year alone, three new enterprises producing import-substituting products were opened with state support,” said the region’s vice-governor Alexander Ruppel.

Among the recipients of state support is a project to localize the production of fire-resistant glass in Krasnodar at the site of the VB-Kuban industrial park; production of silicon dioxide and activated carbon from rice husks in the Seversky region; the largest plant in the south of Russia for the production of high-quality craft paper and bleached cardboard from recycled materials in Kropotkin. Enterprises producing boiler equipment, hosiery, tableware, composite swimming pools, alkaline batteries, CCTV cameras and other products will also be supported.

As the official noted, more than 30 such projects are in a high degree of development in the region - from receiving documentation to the final stage of construction. In 2024, it is planned to allocate over 330 million rubles to finance import-substituting industries.

As Expert South previously reported, 205 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of five import substitution projects in Kuban. The Expert South roundtable in Krasnodar for representatives of the Kuban industry showed that import substitution everywhere generates new assortments and production - and the state support system stimulates these processes.
