The State Duma Committee did not support the increase in prices for overhaul

The State Duma Committee on Housing Policy and Housing and Utilities cannot support the idea of raising prices for overhaul, but at the same time the regions could get the right to do so with the consent of residents, the first deputy head of the committee Sergei Pakhomov (United Russia) told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Construction Maxim Yegorov said that the country needs to raise prices for major repairs of apartment buildings. He explained the need to raise the price by the rise in the price of building materials.

"Inflation, building materials are becoming more expensive. There is a question: how should this be compensated? Naturally, I do not like the idea of doing everything at the expense of residents. It cannot be supported by us. But something needs to be done. Since everything is becoming more expensive, and builders will have to compensate for this with the quality of materials, then this good idea will turn into nothing, "Pakhomov said.

At the same time, the parliamentarian noted that the regions, under certain conditions, could raise the price for overhaul.

"Examples of some regions, Lipetsk, for example, say that these works (overhaul) are carried out so high quality that residents like it. And they are ready for adjustments. We must understand that the program is funded from residents' funds, the efficiency of it should be felt At one time we gave the regions the authority to determine the amount of payment, and if the region works so well that the residents see it and are ready to adjust, then this region should have the right to do it (increase), "he said.

In turn, State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein, commenting on this initiative of the Ministry of Construction, noted that the department had decided to "shift from a sore head to a healthy one."

“The increase in payments for overhaul will hit people's pockets - despite the fact that complaints about the work of overhaul funds are going on all over the country. At every meeting with residents, I constantly hear complaints about the FKR (capital repair fund - ed.). what they pay. You need to steal less - then you don't need to raise anything! " - wrote Khinshtein in his Telegram channel.
