A new line for the production of glass products was opened in the Igrinsky district of Udmurtia

The head of Udmurtia, Alexander Brechalov, visited the modernized production of the Fakel glass factory, the press service of the head and government of the Udmurt Republic reports.

On a working trip, the head of the region visited the Igrinsky district on Friday, June 3. He visited the oldest enterprise (161 years old), where a new line for the production of glass products was recently opened.

The Fakel plant is one of the leading enterprises in the Volga Federal District for the production of glass containers. In 2021, the enterprise produced 110 million pieces of products.

“The technical re-equipment of the enterprise and the renewal of fixed assets ensured the longevity of production and an increase in the number of products produced. In 1954, the plant produced 4.2 million pieces of products, in 2021 - 110 million bottles. The company's products are in demand at distilleries, in the production of carbonated drinks, mineral water and much more. The new line, launched this year, will increase the production of bottles by 38 million units. To date, the share of the Fakel plant in the Russian market reaches 2%. On the scale of our country, this is a worthy result and huge opportunities,” Alexander Brechalov commented.

An investment project with a total investment of 200 million rubles made it possible to launch new equipment and create 39 additional jobs. The line will produce products for the needs of the distilleries of the holding LLC "UDMURTSPIRTPROM".
