The State Duma proposed to transfer the process of disposal of goods to manufacturers and retailers

Member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Sergei Vostretsov (United Russia) proposed transferring the process of utilization of goods to manufacturers and retailers. He said this during a round table on the topic "What tax benefits will be offered to companies engaged in food sharing?"

“We will not create as many collection points for glass containers, plastic, metal, except in those trading structures that exist. Of course, it is necessary to do next to them (trade structures - approx. Agency "Moscow"), because they interact with manufacturers. They could conclude an agreement with them, and still earn on it. We would also not have allowed corruption here, ”S. Vostretsov said.

At the same time, he added that a similar scheme could be applied to the sale of products. “It is clear that all products cannot be saved. Here, in addition to the carrot, there should be a whip. If it was not possible to sell food, then they must be disposed of in a quality manner. And this is also a big expense. When there will be control over the disposal, then they (unsold food - note of the Moscow Agency) will not go to the landfill, and then the state will pay a lot of money for the disposal of these landfills, then both manufacturers and retail will begin to work on creating a mechanism for utilization of these plants and enterprises, ”he stressed.

As previously reported by the media, a bill “On Amending the Tax Code of the Russian Federation in terms of encouraging the careful management of food waste and charity” is being prepared for submission to the State Duma. It is proposed to introduce tax breaks for companies that are ready to immediately deliver products with an expiring shelf life.
