Glass container production workshop launched in Dagestanskie Ogni

A modern glass melting furnace and equipment will be able to produce up to 144 million glass containers per year.

The technical launch of the new workshop of the Dagestan Glass Tara plant took place in Dagestanskie Ogni. This was reported by the press service of the head of the region.

"160 tons per day: the technical launch of the new workshop of the Dagestan Glass Tara plant took place. The modern glass melting furnace and equipment will be able to produce up to 144 million glass containers per year. There are no analogues of such a furnace in the country. [Head of the region] Sergey Melikov took part in the ceremony," the report says.

It is specified that the total cost of the project was 1.6 billion rubles. Support for its implementation was provided by the Industrial Development Fund.

"The uniqueness of the product lies in lightweight glass containers with increased strength, meeting European quality standards. The plant will produce containers for drinks, medicines, perfumes and other products. 170 new jobs will be created," the press service added.
