In Dagestan, a glass melting furnace was launched for the first time in 12 years

In the city of Dagestanskie Ogni, at the enterprise OOO Dagestan Glass Tara, a significant event took place — the launch of a new glass furnace. This happened for the first time in the last 12 years in Russia.

The modernized enterprise, which was equipped with modern and highly efficient equipment, is now capable of producing 160 tons of glass per day. This allows the production of 144 million units of durable and lightweight glass containers annually.

Thanks to the launch of the new furnace, the enterprise will be able to meet the demand for glass containers and replace imported analogues. It is expected that the full launch of the plant will take place by the end of April.

1.679 billion rubles have already been invested in the project "Modernization and expansion of the workshop for the production of glass containers that meet European standards". This allowed the creation of 100 new jobs.

In January 2024, a special investment contract was signed between the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and OOO Dagestan Glass Tara.

In addition, in 2024, the enterprise received 20 million rubles in subsidies from the budget of the Republic as part of the state industrial development program.

In 2022, the Federal Industrial Development Fund provided a loan of 1.28 billion rubles under the Priority Projects program.
