The production of medical packaging was launched in Chegem

The Chegem Glass Factory launched a line for the production of medical containers.

This was preceded by painstaking work to develop the technology for its production.

Medical glass is obtained by cooling a molten mixture of silicates, metal oxides, and salts. The temperature in the oven is the same: over one and a half thousand degrees. The production is waste-free: containers with defects are crushed, ground and returned to the oven.

“We launched a line on the third glass-forming machine for the production of medical glass. The glass undergoes additional internal processing, resulting in a pH neutral environment that stabilizes the pH inside the bottle to maintain chemical and acid resistance. At the moment, we have already shipped several machines,” said the plant’s chief technologist Nikolai Osipov.

The plant's management is considering the possibility of further expanding production lines and the range of products, reports the press service of the regional Government.
