Salavatsteklo JSC launched a new line for the production of Over Size glass

On the eve of the Day of the Glass Industry Worker, Salavatsteklo JSC held a solemn launch of a new flat glass production line. As a result of the modernization, the company plans to produce 600 (+50) tons of sheet glass per year, which will allow the production of ultra-clear sheet glass and Over Size glass (12 x 3 m).

The launch ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev, General Director of JSC "Salavatsteklo" Sergey Agureev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Salavatsteklo" Radik Sultanov, Head of Salavat City Administration Igor Mironov.

- Salavatsteklo, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and the Government of Bashkortostan, is implementing a priority investment project "Reconstruction and technical re-equipment of sheet glass production facilities of line No. 6" with an investment of 3.6 billion rubles, the planned implementation period is until 2023. The key stages in the development of the plant are the modernization of the production of large-sheet glass and the development of the production of energy-saving glass. Today, Salavatsteklo is one of the largest manufacturers in its industry and holds a share of more than 30% of the Russian market for the production of flat glass. In sheet glass, we are in the lead among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” said Alexander Sheldyaev.

The reconstruction of the glass melting furnace of line No. 6 for the production of sheet glass began in the summer of 2022. Technological innovations were introduced into the design of the new glass melting furnace to improve the quality of the glass and increase the yield quantitatively. Also, as part of the reconstruction, a complete replacement of imported software by a Russian company was carried out.

In honor of the professional holiday, the 60th anniversary of the plant and in connection with the launch of a new production line at the site of Salavatsteklo JSC, the best employees of the enterprise and those who especially distinguished themselves in the reconstruction were presented with departmental awards. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Sheldyaev awarded A.A. Blokhin Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salavatsteklo JSC Radik Sultanov. The medal "For Labor Valor" was awarded to the director of sheet glass production Arthur Donster. In total, about 50 people received awards at the federal, republican and municipal levels.
