In 2023, Sibsteklo will increase its output by 7.6 percent

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia LLC Siberian Glass (Sibsteklo):

Siberian Glass LLC (Sibsteklo, the largest manufacturer of glass containers beyond the Urals, an asset of RATM Holding) summed up the results for the first quarter of 2023.

According to Anton Mor, General Director of Sibstekla, in comparison with the same period last year, production in glass complexes increased by 4.3% - from 56.6 thousand to 59.1 thousand tons, and in pieces by 3.5 % - from 200 million to 207 million. Including, 179 million glass products manufactured using NNPB technology (narrow-neck press blowing) left the conveyors, which makes it possible to lighten the bottle while maintaining volume and strength characteristics. The share of such glass containers in the total volume is 86%, while a year earlier it was 82%.

According to Anton Mor, in 2023 Sibsteklo plans to produce 870 million units of container glass, which is 7.6% more than in 2022.

- Currently, the company is implementing a program to modernize production processes: with a consistent reduction in the weight of glass containers, glass forming machines accelerate, and therefore it is necessary to increase the efficiency of equipment in the control and packaging areas. We will do this, among other things, by installing additional lines with inspection machines. Investments in retrofitting, involving the removal of bottlenecks, will amount to 120 million rubles.
