The Ecology Department of Voronezh and the Baltika company entered into a cooperation agreement.

On October 23, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Voronezh Ecology Department and Baltika Brewing Company, part of the Carlsberg Group. The agreement involves joint activities to create and maintain favorable environmental conditions in the city of Voronezh. The subject of the agreement between the Voronezh Ecology and Baltika became the development of a strategic partnership in the implementation of Baltic's environmental programs in Voronezh, including a project for efficient collection of packaging waste “bring benefits to your city.” The project involves the development of an optimal system for collecting and processing packaging waste, in particular cullet, PET bottles, aluminum cans, cardboard, films.

It is aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment in Voronezh. We support Baltika's environmental projects, thanks to which our city will continue work on the creation and operation of infrastructure for the rational management of waste. " The conservation of natural resources and the environment is one of the Carlsberg Group's sustainable development priorities. Baltika Breweries, part of the Carlsberg Group, has been implementing the Benefit Your City project for separate collection and recycling of packaging waste for five years, within the framework of the long-term strategic program for sustainable development “Zero Goal 4: Together for the Future”, aimed at achieving the goal "ZERO carbon footprint." In cooperation with industry and regional operators, Baltika sets up containers for separate collection and recycling of waste - PET packaging, glass, aluminum cans, and cardboard. So, in 2018, in the Voronezh region, Baltika managed to collect and send for processing 4,234 tons of waste. In 2018-2019, together with EKO-Vtorma LLC, Baltika placed 200 containers for waste paper collection in Voronezh. At the production sites of Baltika Breweries, which include the Voronezh Brewery, systematic work is underway to reduce packaging weight, reduce waste and increase the share of recyclable materials. For example, all the assembled cullet is sent to glass factories, including those with which the company works, for smelting and use in the production of a new bottle.
