The departure of foreign companies from the Russian Federation did not affect the implementation of projects of Rostov enterprises with foreign participation. The shares of foreign owners were sold to Russian ones, said the head of the region, Vasily Golubev, during an investment message.

"The departure of a number of Western owners did not, in our opinion, significantly affect the activities of the Don enterprises. Shares in companies that were previously controlled by foreign companies were sold or transferred to Russian management," he said.

Golubev explained that the American glass plant Guardian Glass was sold to the Russian company FSK and operates under the Larta Glass brand. The share of the Italian company Enel in the wind farm project was acquired by Lukoil and the Gazprombank-Freesia fund. Ownership of the liquefied natural gas processing plant Air Products passed to the Russian "Techgas Management".

"The events that have taken place have shown vulnerability to foreign technologies and their competencies. Due to failures of imported raw materials and components, we were forced to postpone the deadlines for fulfilling contractual obligations, logistics and the procedure for financial settlements have become more complicated. We are able to solve these current tasks, the governor noted.

In addition, Golubev said that now it is not enough to adjust and tune the existing tools. Fundamental changes will be required to create a new economy and new investment cycles. To do this, you need to understand what areas need to be developed and supported, how to train personnel for these areas, what conditions to create for future development. "We have set priorities for ourselves: the search for growing markets, new investment niches for regional enterprises and investors. For this, development teams should work in each executive authority and municipality. Such teams should help investors - advise, accompany, remove barriers, form proposals for stimulating promising markets. The government is already working to create services to support and make such decisions," Golubev added.
