Double the volume of finished products

A meeting of the working group on the project “Development of the glass industry in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic” was held at the Chegem Glass Factory. It was chaired by the Chairman of the Government of the Kabardino-Balkaria, Aliy Musukov.

Work is underway to build the second stage of production at the plant, specializing in the production of medical glass. It will allow doubling the output of finished products. Currently, the plant employs more than 270 people. It is planned to create another 120 jobs. The plant is operating at full capacity and produces more than 170 million units. finished products in terms of annual volume. At the meeting, issues of assistance in the implementation of the second stage of the project related to gas supply, personnel training, and the provision of various government support measures were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Trade of the KBR reports.

Medical glass products are import-substituting products and are included in the list of priority goods for import substitution in order to ensure the technological sovereignty of our country. Considering that the future production complex will be one of the largest factories in the Russian Federation for the production of glass for medical purposes (ampoules), the speedy implementation of the project is in great demand not only for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
