Tyumen Glass Container Plant has increased the volume of product shipments over the past six months

The Tyumen bottle is known throughout Russia. It is lighter, its weight is 240-250 grams, while the average bottle in the country is 110 grams heavier.

Victor Stefanov, chief technologist of the glass container plant: “Due to the introduction of new technologies. This is called press blowing, where there is an improved distribution of glass throughout the product. And this gives improved and increased strength characteristics to the product.”

Thanks to this, our product withstands high competition in the market. 300 million bottles are produced here annually. Over the past 6 months, the volume of shipment of glass containers has increased by 30 percent. Bottles are distributed throughout the region. Plus Omsk, Novosibirsk, Central Russia and Kazakhstan. And everywhere the Tyumen bottle can be recognized.

Ekaterina Melekhina, financial director of the glass container plant: “You can see this from the logo that is applied to the bottom of the bottle. These are three lines that symbolize the shoulder of the bottle.”

The Tyumen bottle is 100% made from domestic raw materials. The main components for glass production are quartz sand, soda, limestone, dolomite, marble chips and special dyes. Also, a bottle that was rejected is re-used. Here it is called cullet.

Victor Stefanov, chief technologist of the glass container plant: “First of all, we reduce costs. This is a reduction in gas costs. This is in order to improve the environment, in order to reduce the cost of raw materials. And the second is actually the disposal of unnecessary glass.”

The plant does not enter the production of cans yet. There is no volume of orders that would allow launching a new line without much loss. But other plans are being made here. For example, next year one of the furnaces will be overhauled. This will increase the productivity of the enterprise by another 30%.
