Meeting on preparations for the International Forum «Glass and modern technologies - XXI». Association «StekloSouz» of Russia

On November 08, 2022, the Association StekloSouz of Russia held a meeting on preparations for the International Forum "Glass and Modern Technologies - XXI".

In 2022, the industry event will be held from November 17 to 18 in the city of Gus-Khrustalny, Vladimir Region.

The Association StekloSouz gathers heads of enterprises from Russia, the CIS countries and far abroad on the basis of the StekloGas Research Institute. As you know, the Presidium of StekloSoyuz approved Lyudmila Fedorovna Korshunova as the head of the Scientific and Technical Center (STC SSR).

Olga Drobyshevskaya, head of the project "Glass and modern technologies - XXI" reported on the preparation of the scientific event. The forum gathers heads of enterprises for the 22nd time. It is noteworthy that the landmark event will be held in the International Year of Glass.

The Association StekloSouz of Russia in 2022 took part in a number of important events, together with the Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the International Year of Glass, approved by the United Nations. Since 2018, StekloSouz of Russia, together with Associations of other countries under the auspices of the International Commission on Glass, of which StekloSouz is a member, have been preparing the necessary materials for organizing a professional holiday.

Olga Drobyshevskaya presented the scientific program of the plenary session, the round table and the session of the Expert Council of the STC SSR.

Organizational issues were discussed. The Presidium approved the preparations for the International Forum "Glass and Modern Technologies - XXI".

The heads of StekloSouz departments in their messages briefly outlined the number of specialized business leaders who will take part in the main industry event in 2022.

At the invitation of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, delegates from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan will take part in the Forum. Representatives from far abroad will make presentations.

Scientific reports cover the problems of designing glassmaking, digital provision of control processes, ecology, energy saving, ensuring an increase in the life cycle of furnaces, machines, equipment, standardization, quality of refractory materials, raw materials and many other issues necessary for the production of high-quality glass products for various sectors of the national economy .

Particular attention will be paid to personnel training, additional vocational education, special vocational education.

A draft decision will be prepared for consideration by the presidium on 14.11. 2022.

The meeting was chaired by ViktorOsipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia. In his speech, he repeated the slogan that he voiced in St. Petersburg at the conference, which was held from 03 to 07 October 2022 on the basis of the Institute of Agriculture of the Russian Academy of Sciences: "Science into production! Training for production!"

Viktor Osipov expressed confidence that by joint efforts we will be able to successfully develop the domestic glass industry. Proposed measures to support Russian glass engineering.
