The owner of the Dagestan enterprise invests 2 billion rubles in expanding production

The company's turnover for nine months amounted to 4 billion rubles.

The new owner of the Caspian Sheet Glass Plant in Dagestan, Salavatsteklo, will invest about 2 billion rubles in 2022 in expanding production and launching new products, Acting First Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Batyr Emeev said during a live broadcast on Instagram on Saturday.

"We brought the Caspian Sheet Glass Plant out of bankruptcy, we now have an owner, Salavatsteklo. This year, the company plans to release new products - about 2 billion rubles to invest in the plant, to produce tinted glass, hard-coated glass. Production new products will additionally provide jobs," Emeev said.

According to him, the company is currently increasing its production turnover. "If the average turnover of the enterprise did not reach 3 billion rubles, then for 9 months of ownership by the new owner, the turnover amounted to 4 billion rubles. The company employs more than 400 people, it was important for us, first of all, to keep these jobs," explained the acting first vice premier.

Also, according to him, in 2022, it is planned to expand production at the Ceramic Granit Dagestan enterprise - when launching a new production line, it is expected to create 100 jobs.

At the end of 2021, according to Emeev, the index of industrial production in Dagestan amounted to 109%. Three new enterprises were opened in the republic with a total investment of 600 million rubles, they created more than 200 jobs. The production of the military-industrial complex in the republic in 2021 increased by 40% and reached more than 7 billion rubles.

In April 2021, Salavatsteklo JSC acquired the property of the bankrupt Caspian Sheet Glass Plant, according to data published on the website of the Unified Federal Register of Bankruptcy Information, the transaction amount was 3.16 billion rubles. In 2020, the Caspian Flat Glass Plant won the "Exporter of the Year" award in the North Caucasus Federal District in the nomination "Exporter of the Year in the Industry" in the "large business" category. As reported, the daily capacity of the enterprise is about 600 tons of high-quality sheet polished glass. In August 2015, the Caspian Sheet Glass Plant OJSC filed a petition with the Dagestan Arbitration Court to declare the enterprise bankrupt. The court recognized the claims as justified and introduced the bankruptcy procedure for the enterprise - supervision.
