Господдержка предприятий-производителей строительных материалов
Dear colleagues!
A member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia LLC "Sibirskoe steklo" ("Sibsteklo", an asset of RATM Holding) for the first time in the glass industry has mastered a new route for transporting raw materials to the enterprise - along the Ob River. During the navigation period, it is planned to form an annual supply of sand for the production of brown and green bottles - 86 thousand tons from the Kudrovskoye deposit in the Tomsk region. To transport such a volume, the barge will make 39 trips.
According to the Director General of Sibsteklo LLC Anton Mor, the quartz sand with a low iron content necessary for glassmaking was previously purchased in the European part of Russia, for example, in the Ulyanovsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, delivered by rail, like other glass factories. Now the company has replaced it with Siberian:
“By reducing the logistics leverage, we reduce transportation costs and thus limit the increase in selling prices for glass containers,” says Anton Mor. – In the current economic situation, we strive to support the business of beverage manufacturers whose facilities are located on the territory of the Siberian Federal District.
Moisture indicators of Kudrovsky sand, extracted by hydraulic reclamation, do not allow sending it in winter in open wagons, and therefore the stocks that will be stored on the pier are made in the summer. Having studied the properties of sand, Sibstekl's specialists came to the conclusion that, when enriched, it is suitable for the manufacture of containers.
“At Sibsteklo, this sand is dried, screened and passed through magnetic separators to separate particles, including metal compounds, from “pure” ones,” comments Anton Mor. – Characteristics of glass packaging made using this raw material fully complies with the requirements of GOST and the technical specifications of customers.
