Schwabe automated the manufacturing process of optical lenses

At the production of optical glass of the Shvabe holding of the Rostec State Corporation in Lytkarino, they began designing the lenses of optoelectronic devices with the new software. Automation of the process eliminated the likelihood of an error in the calculation.

The software is used to automatically calculate the characteristics of lenses and design parameters, including the radius of curvature of test glasses and other materials, as well as the thickness of the products. With its help, specialists can quickly select the required part for the selected part of the optical system.

The Lytkarinsky Optical Glass Plant (LZOS) “Shvabe” introduced the program. In the Russian market, the company occupies the first position in the field of glass products and supplies to more than 30 countries.

In comparison with analogs, the software created by LZOS specialists visually presents the calculation results, is easier to use and has sufficient functionality for designers and technologists.

“Thanks to the new software, we have completely automated the process of calculating and selecting lens parameters. Today, the program was launched in two LZOS research and production complexes specializing in the processing of large-sized optics and the production of optical glass, ”said Alexander Ignatov, Director General of LZOS.

The program also performs automatic verification of the correctness of the entered values and calculation with manual and automatic taking into account the "rules of signs".
