Over the past ten years, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, together with foreign partners, has invested over 2.1 trillion rubles in more than 90 projects, the head of the fund, Kirill Dmitriev, told Interfax.

The investments were made possible thanks to strategic partnerships with leading international co-investors from 18 countries totaling more than $ 40 billion, he continued.

"These projects cover almost all regions of the Russian Federation and most sectors of the economy - from energy and infrastructure to IT and healthcare," he said and added that behind these figures are dozens of examples of successful investments in leading companies and promising projects.

"The 10-year history of the RDIF proves the effectiveness of the investment model for the growth of the Russian economy," said the head of the fund.

Dmitriev also mentioned support from the state. He recalled that every year during the SPIEF, President Vladimir Putin meets with RDIF partners and answers their questions about the economy. The head of the fund called these meetings "an absolutely unique format" and added that they are critical for investors "to understand priorities and move forward."

He noted that not every project in which the state is interested can be attractive for investment.

“And, accordingly, on the contrary, not everything that is interesting to investors meets the state's ideas about priority projects. We must invest in projects that are significant for the country and have significant growth potential. to the state, with profitability, "Dmitriev said.

“Our unique co-investment model assumes that for each of our ruble we attract 9 rubles from our partners,” he said. “The trust of foreign partners in our model is confirmed by the fact that already 8 funds are automatically investing with us. For example, the Mubadala fund from United The United Arab Emirates have already concluded more than 60 deals with us, and they have received a good return on their investments.The Chinese fund has already invested in more than 20 companies, and they are examples for other co-investors, many of whom have never invested in Russia before working with us.
