REO to hold a series of explanatory webinars on EPR until March 20

The Russian Environmental Operator will hold explanatory webinars for business representatives on extended producer responsibility (EPR), reporting on the disposal of waste from the use of goods, and the register of recyclers. The series of webinars will end one month before the end of the reporting period.

“REO is launching a new series of webinars dedicated to EPR standards, reporting, the register of recyclers, and much more. We continue to carry out methodological work so that business representatives can correctly draw up documentation, understand how and when to submit reports, and also know how to get into the register of recyclers. The main goal of the webinars is to inform and protect businesses from unwanted administrative response measures,” said Denis Butsaev, CEO of REO.

Online meetings will be held in almost every region of the Russian Federation until March 20. At the same time, the reporting period for submitting reports on the disposal of waste from the use of goods will end on April 15, by which time companies must report.

"The webinars will discuss the EPR mechanism from start to finish, the format and deadlines for submitting reports, and who should submit these reports. We will also touch upon the issue of the register of recyclers, and talk about the most common mistakes made by applicants seeking to get into it. We will touch upon the issue of importers, if there are any in the subject," noted Igor Zabralov, Director of Sustainable Development at REO.

Anyone interested from the business community can take part in these meetings. To do this, you need to contact the authorized bodies in your subject, for example, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, or the Ministry of Economy, and clarify the date of the event.
