Glass production will be launched in the St. Petersburg SEZ for 2 billion rubles

Representatives of InStelRus LLC held a ceremonial launch of the construction of a new industrial glass production facility on the territory of the Novoorlovskaya special economic zone (SEZ) of St. Petersburg. This was reported by Vedomosti - St. Petersburg.

As director of the company Maxim Trushkov noted, approximately 2.1 billion rubles of investment will be invested in the plant: part of these funds will be provided by the Federal Investment Fund on loan terms.

The area of the enterprise will be 10 thousand square meters. The first stage will produce 25 thousand sq. m. m of glass products per month, which will be used in the work of medical and pharmaceutical institutions, as well as in the construction industry. Thus, glass is useful for creating laboratories or operating rooms. Similar material was previously supplied to the Russian Federation from the USA and Germany, so the project can be called import-substituting. The equipment that will be used at the enterprise will be supplied by the PRC.

The products that the first stage of the plant will produce will be sold in St. Petersburg and the North-West. The second stage with double capacity will be launched in 2025.
