Now Russian manufacturers and suppliers of perfumery and cosmetic products do not have to travel to France or run around different museums in order to get acquainted with the collections of stylish bottles for perfumery.
A resident of Moscow, Deputy Secretary General of the Russian Association for International Cooperation (RAMS), President of the Franco-Russian partnership Marina Vladimirovna Korosteleva in July this year donated duplicates (more than 100 copies) from her unique collection of original bottles for perfumery to the Moscow Museum of Packaging (article on collecting bottles for perfumery will be published in one of the next issues of the magazine "Packaging").
The designs of most of these bottles were created in the twentieth century, commissioned by such famous French perfume companies: Coty, Chanel, Dior, Rocha, Nina Ricci, Givenchy, etc. Many of these bottles were created by famous artists such as Marc Lalique. Garust, Bonetti, Jacques Guerlain, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, etc.
Most of the bottles made for famous French perfume companies become artifacts, real works of applied art - even before they are bought!
These bottles will effectively complement the collection of packaging and labels of the Museum for perfumery products manufactured in Russia by perfumery companies in the 19th - early 20th centuries. They will take pride of place in the Museum of Packaging and will delight the eyes of visitors.
First of all, these bottles are of interest for Russian perfumers, for designers working in the design of perfumery and cosmetic products, for university and college students studying in specialties related to technologies and design of packaging production, and of course, for the general public.
The Packaging Museum and the Tara i Upakovka magazine will include this collection in the program of traveling exhibitions and will be able to demonstrate it at different exhibition sites in Moscow and in the regions of Russia.
By the way, in Russia the original bottle for the cologne "Severny" from Brocard was made by the Russian artist Kazimir Malevich at the beginning of the 20th century! This bottle turned out to be a "long-liver". At the Novaya Zarya factory, the Severny cologne in such bottles was made until the end of the 80s.
