Representative of «StekloSouz» in the Committee for the Development of the Closed Cycle Economy of the RF CCI

By the decision of the Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the RF CCI), the Committee for the Development of the Circular Economy was established.

This structure is necessary to provide support for entrepreneurship in the field of handling production and consumption waste, secondary material resources, secondary raw materials.

As you know, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as the SSR) is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the RF CCI).

Taking into account the important goals and objectives of the newly created Committee, it was decided to become a member of the said body of the RF CCI.

By the decision of the Presidium of the SSR, Sergey Lukyantsev, Deputy Chairman of the Ecology Committee of the "StekloSouz" Association of Russia, was recommended to the said committee.

The appointment of a committee to resolve issues of interaction with government authorities and specialized development institutions will allow the SSR, together with glass container plants, to successfully solve the tasks set by the Strategy for Extended Responsibility of Producers and Importers of Goods and Packaging (ROP) and the Roadmap approved by V.V. Abramchenko. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

At the end of November 2021, the committee held its first meeting. Decisions have been made to develop the collection of secondary raw materials. For the glass industry - the development of the collection of cullet for re-melting in the glass-making furnaces of factories.

The first meeting was attended by Sergey Lukyantsev, Deputy Chairman of the SSR Ecology Committee.
