Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on expanding the boundaries of the advanced development area (TOP) "Amur" in the Far East, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday.
"The inclusion in the TOP of new sites located in Blagoveshchensk, Belogorsk and the Tyndinsky municipal district of the Amur Region will make it possible to build an enterprise for processing agricultural products, a plant for the production of translucent structures and modernize the complex for processing titanium magnetite ores," the report says.
This decision will attract 18.6 billion rubles of private investment.
In particular, it is planned to create a mining and metallurgical cluster on the basis of the Kuranakh deposit, the mining and processing enterprises operating there for the production of titanomagnetite and ilmenite concentrates will be re-equipped and modernized.
The agricultural processing plant is scheduled to be launched in 2026. About 500 thousand tons of raw materials per year will be processed there. The investor also intends to open the production of tempered, fire-resistant and laminated glass, architectural double-glazed windows for facade glazing.
