In memory of Spiridonov Alexander Vladimirovich

The staff of NIISF RAASN suffered a heavy irreparable loss. At the age of 71, one of the leading scientists in the field of energy saving, the chief researcher of the laboratory "Energy-saving technologies in construction" of the NIISF RAASN, Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology, Honorary Builder of Russia, Ph.D., died suddenly. Spiridonov Alexander Vladimirovich.

Spiridonov A.V. was one of the leading Russian experts in the field of translucent and facade structures and energy saving in construction, as well as a member of the Board of the Russian Chamber of Construction Experts (Rosstroyexpertiza) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Russian-American Energy Efficiency Fund (Rosenfeld Energy Efficiency Fund). For his scientific activity, he has written more than 500 articles in specialized publications, including foreign ones, the author of 2 monographs, had 80 patents and copyright certificates. Author and co-author of numerous national and interstate standards, codes of practice in the field of translucent and facade structures, sun protection devices.

In 2016 he was awarded the Gold Medal named after Academician of the RAASN G.L. Osipov.

In 2021, he was awarded the title of "The Best Researcher of the NIISF" with the installation of a commemorative star on the wall of the "Glory of the NIISF".

In 1975, Alexander Vladimirovich graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Department of Lighting Engineering and Light Source. In 1983 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences on the topic “Influence of the lighting characteristics of sun protection devices on the performance of visual work in precision manufacturing”. In 1978, he joined the NIISF RAASN, where he worked until 1991.

In 1997, on the initiative of Alexander Vladimirovich, one of the first professional associations in our country was created - the Association of Energy Efficient Windows Manufacturers (Association APROK). From 1997 - 2003 Alexander Vladimirovich was the first vice-president, and in 2003 - 2013. the president of this association. In the 2000s, this organization included more than 150 window companies from all regions of Russia. APROK Association has held dozens of international conferences under the title "Energy Efficient Windows" in many cities of the country. They were attended by specialists from many EU countries, the USA, China, Japan, Canada.

In 2011, Alexander Vladimirovich returned to NIISF RAASN and headed the laboratory "Energy-Saving Technologies in Construction".

The laboratory, which he headed, in addition to fundamental research in the field of energy saving and the development of innovative technologies for translucent enclosing structures, conducts examinations of mounted facade structures.

Friends and colleagues mourn the irreparable loss. A great scientist and a decent, truly intelligent person passed away.

Alexander Vladimirovich Spiridonov will forever remain in the hearts of his employees.
