Sibsteklo LLC expands its supplier base

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia LLC Siberian Glass (Sibsteklo):

The company began to supply soda from Uzbekistan, which made it possible to diversify the sources of raw materials. In conditions of instability of the external environment, Sibsteklo maintains the demand for glass containers, continuing to fulfill its obligations to customers.

– The current situation stimulates the search for new opportunities in the field of procurement – we are striving to optimize costs and for this purpose we are expanding the pool of suppliers, – comments Anton Mor, General Director of Siberian Glass LLC. – So, in the past year, we formed a reserve of sand from the Kudrovskoye deposit in the Tomsk region, having mastered a new route for transporting raw materials - on barges along the Ob River: we brought a volume sufficient to work until the next navigation season.

Recall that on October 31, Sibsteklo placed on MICEX the second issue of bonds in the amount of 300 million rubles - investments were directed to replenish working capital, including to replace retiring loans and create reserves of finished products necessary to ensure uninterrupted supplies of glass containers to customers during the shift assortment in a glass furnace. Today the company is already using the borrowed funds.

According to Anton Mor, the development of the packaging market, in particular, the trend towards environmental friendliness, allows the company to increase the sale of glass products, maintaining leadership in the sectoral market of Siberia and the Far East. Customer markets are also showing positive dynamics - at present, multinational brewing companies, whose share among Sibsteklo customers is 56.4%, are replacing foreign brands of drinks with local ones. The plant also produces container glass for producers of strong alcohol: in the winter season, sales of such packaging traditionally increase. In addition, as part of cooperation with partners from border countries, in 2022 Sibsteklo increased shipments to Mongolia, and plans for 2023 to increase exports to Kazakhstan.
