Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin in an interview with RBC told how the work of the country's government has changed after the start of the special operation in Ukraine. According to him, the Cabinet came to this situation prepared.

Khusnullin said the COVID-19 pandemic had given the government "a good workout," so the country was prepared for the current economic difficulties. The key goal of the Cabinet at the moment, he called the salvation of the Russian economy.

“We need to save the economy so that it does not stop, does not slow down. I see from my block that we must bring the planned funding to construction. Why? Our state is ultimately the largest investor: we invest about three trillion rubles a year in repairs and construction at the federal, regional and municipal levels. And if three trillion rubles enter the construction economy, this is the first anti-crisis measure,” he said.

According to the vice-premier, his work is divided into three blocks. Within the framework of the first, he controls "that all the money goes into the economy." In addition, Khusnullin is engaged in "financing the entire business, especially housing" and "reducing the investment and construction cycle."

In the same interview, Khusnullin admitted the return of foreign companies to Russia. In his opinion, they will resume their activities in the country, because they "want to earn money."
