A large-scale modernization is expected at the Astrakhan glass fiber plant in the first quarter of this year. The decision on a financial loan in the amount of 24 million rubles was made by the expert council of the Industrial Development Fund at the end of 2022. It is expected that the new equipment will increase production volumes.

Modern equipment and a competent management and personnel policy are the main components of the success of the Astrakhan glass fiber plant. A quality product designed for electrical insulation: from microplates to casing of turbines of large and small aircraft.

“Our products are in demand in all market segments of the modern economy. The most important thing is that we were noticed, we were appreciated. At the moment, our capacities allow us to produce 17 million meters of fiberglass per year. It is planned to increase by 15% of the total volume,” says Natalia Murzova, General Director of the Astrakhan Glass Fiber Plant.

A financial loan from the Industrial Development Fund will allow increasing output volumes. At the end of the previous year, the expert council approved the company's application for 24 million rubles.

“The company annually carries out modernization of enterprises, and we, accordingly, help this. The number of jobs is growing at the enterprise, today it is more than 270 people. A good average salary is more than 44 thousand rubles,” says Ilya Volynsky, Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of the Astrakhan Region.

The systematic modernization of production after the plant became part of the Elinar holding company for a total amount of about 386 million rubles logically required a renewal of personnel. Yes, the team is mostly young, but there are also experienced mentors who set the working pace for the shift.

“Even family contracts are already being born, that is, families are being created, and even the children of these families are already taking an active part in the production of fiberglass and glass fiber,” says Pavel Varfolomeev, head of the weaving production of the Astrakhan fiberglass plant.

“The performance of the new equipment is much higher, we show higher numbers. It also increased quality scores. New equipment is less demanding in terms of labor costs for its operation, that is, carrying out some kind of scheduled preventive, repair work, ”says Ivan Dybov, head of the twisting and warping production of the Astrakhan fiberglass plant.

The modernization of the Astrakhan fiberglass plant is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2023. The necessary funds have already been received.
