Sibsteklo continues to form a team of sustainable development ambassadors

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about the member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, LLC "Sibirskoye Steklo" (Sibsteklo):

As part of the next stage, thirty employees of Sibirskoye Steklo LLC (one of the leading glass container manufacturers in Russia, an asset of RATM Holding) - senior managers, functional areas, including production, as well as line managers and specialists - completed training under the advanced training program "ESG Agenda for Business" of the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management.

Participants in the educational module improved their skills in applying ESG criteria in management and investment, integrating ESG principles into business processes, and effectively using ESG tools to achieve sustainable development goals. Currently, the priority for Sibsteklo is to promote inclusive industrialization and innovation, ensure openness and environmental safety of cities and towns, and transition to rational consumption and production models.

Let us recall that in 2022, Sibstekkl top managers improved their qualifications in the additional professional program “Business Transformation Based on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Principles – Intensive” of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

– Sibstekkl’s ESG focus is ecology, first of all, due to industry specifics, and this became the starting point for implementing a sustainable agenda at the enterprise, – comments Anton Mor, General Director of Sibstekkl. – In addition, the company is ready for qualitative changes in corporate governance – three years ago, a Board of Directors was created, which determines the strategy for a planning horizon of 5-7 years, paying special attention to strengthening competitive advantages based on ESG practices. Sibstekkl strives for responsible relationships with employees and the local community, initiating projects that provide a prolonged social effect. According to Anton Mor, the plant is currently developing documents and policies that will form a coordinate system for subsequent actions within the specified areas, and is also beginning to compile non-financial reporting.
