From the modernization of old workshops to the creation of new lines. Only this one mastered the production of 20 types of glass with different coatings. The advantage is not only the assortment, but also the quality and production volumes.

Moreover, they create top-end products using their own raw materials. Although in Soviet times I had to work on an imported one. Today, special sand is mined by themselves - at a deposit in the same region. The fact that you need to be able to make money on your own raw materials was also discussed at the forum in Minsk. Getting away from imports and getting the maximum profit from what they themselves have is the number one task.

In appearance, this raw material looks like ordinary quartz sand. However, the recipe for quality glass is more complex. This will require dolomite, limestone, soda ash and many more coloring substances and ingredients.

New technologies plus professional staff. The result is a product that is competitive not only in the post-Soviet space. Gomelsteklo is doing business at a new level: it has access to European sales markets. And this is another task for such city-forming enterprises.

The main markets are Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic countries, Germany and Bulgaria. All this became possible due to the fact that timely government support was provided to the enterprise. Without this state support, the enterprise could no longer exist. "

And here we are talking not only about the dry figures of the economy, but also about the fate of almost 2 thousand employees of the enterprise. Having risen to its feet, Gomelglass was able to compete confidently even during the difficult period of the global pandemic - a batch of 30 million square meters of glass was exported, which is more than $ 60 million. In 2021, they plan to raise the indicators further - the order book has been formed for the whole year.

Three-year-old Tasya proudly shows her new room. In a spacious three-room apartment there was a place for everyone - even a huge teddy bear and a cat, which was presented to children for housewarming. A year ago, the Levchuk family lived with their parents. They received their own apartment in the city of Zhabinka with state support - as a large one. The settlement is small. But, according to the spouses, everything you need is here. And soon a kindergarten will be built next to the house.

Zhabinka is the only regional center in Belarus, which has grown by more than a thousand people in one year. The city is getting younger, therefore, the priority in construction is given to large families. Last year, 54 families with three or more children received the keys to new apartments.

Support for large families, of course, is also enshrined in the main economic document on the country's development for the next 5 years. Construction of housing and social infrastructure are priorities for the state. And not only in the regional centers - the standard of living will increase in small towns and settlements.
