The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation supported the labeling of glass containers for Russian alcohol

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov supported the proposal on the mandatory labeling of glass containers for alcoholic products with an ethyl alcohol content above 28% with a special identifier, the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets is already developing a corresponding bill. This was announced by TASS on Friday the head of the committee Anatoly Artamonov.

According to the press service of the Federation Council, Artamonov on Friday took part in a meeting with Manturov. The topic of improving the legislative regulation of the alcohol market and measures to combat illegal alcohol were discussed.

“In particular, the issue of mandatory labeling of containers for alcoholic products with an ethyl alcohol content of more than 28% was identified by the identifier of the manufacturer. Denis Manturov supported this proposal,” said TASS Artamonov.

The senator added that the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets is already developing a bill. According to him, the minister at the meeting also stated the need to arrange work so that forgery of this special sign was impossible for manufacturers of counterfeit glass containers.
