The Ministry of Industry and Energy announced the bankruptcy of the Saratov Glass Institute and the establishment of a new production facility

The regional Ministry of Industry and Energy commented on the status of the Saratov Glass Institute.

An arbitration court declared the company bankrupt in late November 2025. The plant is currently in receivership under the leadership of an appointed manager. Currently, the staff of JSC SIS has been reduced to 33 employees. The main production facilities are now being used by another organization. This site employs 144 people.

The new facility specializes in the deep industrial processing of glass products. The plant produces highly sought-after tempered glass and modern energy-efficient insulated glass units.

These products are intended for the construction and transportation sectors, allowing it to partially replace the capacity of the bankrupt institute.
