On May 20, 2024, the International Trade and Industrial Congress took place in Moscow.

The event was organized by the Government of the Russian Federation.

The topics of the large-scale event were: Investments. Development. Cooperation.

The country's executive and representative government leaders noted in their reports that much has changed over the past two years, from business process management schemes and investment priorities to the need to build new cooperation chains to achieve Russia's technological sovereignty.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, spoke about the future of the country. He noted that within the framework of the Russian Federation Domestic Industry Development Program, work is being done to create the necessary infrastructure.

Vasily Osmakov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, spoke about the problems of development and ensuring the competitiveness of Russian industry.

Mikhail Yurin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, spoke about the need for investment in the technological development of Russia.

Vladimir Gutenev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, spoke about the need for deep industrial cooperation.

Besprozvannykh Alexey Sergeevich, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, developed the concept of obtaining qualitative changes in the dynamics of economic growth through integration.

Sergey Morozov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government, expressed his determination to provide legal support for the integration of domestic business entities of various forms of ownership and industry orientation.

Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, heads of federal industry associations outlined their position on scientific developments of the socio-economic development of the industry. On the need to create a comprehensive import substitution program based on accelerated growth of capital investment.

Currently, the state is actively working to stimulate investment activity and create conditions for the possibility of carrying out investment activities.

The leaders of industry associations were unanimous in the opinion that one of the most pressing issues remains the development of our own technologies that would allow us to produce competitive high-value products.

To stimulate activity in this direction, it is necessary to resolve a number of issues that require attracting “long-term” money. This will allow us to develop production ties with international partners, which will help Russia achieve technological sovereignty and ensure the competitiveness of the national economy.

In 2022, the glass industry became one of the top five exporters, occupying a stable place in the export of glass and products after the metallurgical and chemical industries.

Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, expressed the confident, consolidated opinion of the heads of federal structures that Russia has all the potential conditions for intensive and dynamic growth of glass production. Development of strategic industries, implementation of high-tech projects of Russian enterprises for the transformation of the domestic glass industry, promotion of industrial relations with international partners.
