The mayor of Moscow opened the first phase of the unique ecotechnopark Kaluga

The first stage of the construction of the Kaluga Ecotechnopark has been completed. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin during a visit to the enterprise. The first phase of the technology park was built with the participation of the City Government Complex. They plan to make useful things out of household waste.

Set an example for others

The technology park is located in the Iznoskovsky district of the Kaluga region near the village of Mikhali. The unique complex will use the best Russian and European technologies for waste sorting.

“We have completed the creation of the first stage of the ecotechnopark, one of the most modern in our country, which meets all sanitary and environmental requirements: a waste recycling and sorting system has been created that allows all useful fractions from household waste to be separated and recycled to the maximum extent possible,” said Sergei Sobyanin .

The Moscow Mayor recalled that from January 1 of next year, a separate waste collection system will be introduced in the capital. This will increase the amount of waste sent for recycling. Other enterprises for the processing of metropolitan waste will be built following the example of Kaluga.

Sew clothes from plastic

The company will be able to sort about 3 thousand tons of garbage per day. During sorting, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, glass, paper, plastic, electronic scrap will be extracted from the waste, which are then used as raw materials. Paper and glass will be sent to glass and pulp and paper mills. Plastic can be used in the construction of roads and when sewing clothes.

A small part of the waste that cannot be recycled will be placed on special sites. The storage facilities were equipped so as not to harm the environment.

Suitable for fish farming

The work of the Kaluga industrial park will not harm the environment. The complex was built and operates taking into account technologies that ensure a high level of environmental safety. Only non-hazardous waste will be brought here. The territory of the technology park is fenced with protective screens. It has an eco-monitoring system that allows real-time measurements of air conditions. According to the deputy. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexei Gordeev, Kaluga should become an example of the technical equipment of enterprises for sorting garbage.

“We are here with Rospotrebnadzor experts, I confirm: all devices work, they comply with international standards, all this will be observed online, and you can check the condition of the object at any time,” Gordeev said.

On the territory of Kaluga there are also treatment facilities for rain and domestic wastewater. The degree of purification is so high that the water is suitable for breeding fish. They plan to produce pipes and hatches. At the subsequent stages of the construction of Kaluga, it is planned to install plants for the production of plastic hatches, pipes and fences from recycled waste. An enterprise for the production of fuel briquettes will appear here.
