Larta Glass brought together three glass factories into a single system

Larta Glass Group of Companies, part of the Federal Grid Company, has completed the main stage of integration of the group’s three glass factories into a single ecosystem, Larta Glass General Director Elena Rassudimova told Interfax.

“A major event last year for Larta Glass was the addition of a third glass factory. Integrating the newly acquired plant into the Larta Glass structure will allow us to more flexibly manage production resources and distribute orders between plants. The process of switching to a new brand has already been completed, but we still have a long way to go to unify all systems,” said Rassudimov.

She emphasized that in 2024, the company's efforts will be focused on integrating the three factories into a single operating system, which includes the digitalization of business processes and the completion of the construction of unified approaches and standards.

“To successfully accomplish these tasks, we have significantly changed the organizational model of business management, created sales, production, product, and profitability management centers, and reorganized the functional business support service, including the digital transformation department. The task of heads of functional areas is to search and implement best practices, implement the strategic development of the group, improve the efficiency and quality of processes,” noted Elena.

According to her, with the acquisition of the third plant, the total production capacity of the Larta Glass group of companies increased by 1.5 times, to 2.45 thousand tons of glass per day.

“This opens up additional opportunities for us to increase production during peak periods. For example, in 2021, during the pandemic, we were faced with an acute shortage of glass in the market. Now, thanks to new production capacities, we hope not only to meet current demand, but also to prevent similar shortages in the future,” assured Rassudimov.

She added that the demand for glass factories' products is seasonal: the high season begins in June and lasts until early December.

As reported, in 2023, FGC Group acquired the Russian assets of NSG Group, including the Pilkington Glass Russia plant in the Moscow region, thus expanding its presence in the glass market.

Earlier, in 2022, GC FSK bought the glass enterprises of Guardian Industries in Ryazan with a rated production capacity of 750 tons of glass per day and in the Rostov region with a rated capacity of 900 tons of glass per day. Since autumn 2022, the factories have been operating under the new Larta Glass brand.

GC FSK was founded in 2005 and is engaged in the development and construction of residential and commercial real estate in Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Moscow, Leningrad and Kaluga regions, and the Krasnodar Territory.
