A unique glass processing plant in Crimea produces up to 15 thousand “squares” per month.
In the Leninsky district there is an enterprise that has no analogues in Crimea. Here they cut large glass and make triplex - laminated glass, which is made by pressing when heated. The plant creates new jobs in rural areas and produces products on an industrial scale, which are in demand not only on the peninsula, but throughout Russia.
A unique enterprise
It produces translucent aluminum structures, glass fencing, partitions, as well as structural double-glazed windows for facade and interior glazing.
Glass is transported to the enterprise from the Russian mainland in special vehicles, each containing 20 tons.
“Our enterprise is engaged in processing large-sheet glass - we cut large-sized products into smaller parts, process them, and also make laminated glass. Our enterprise has no analogues in Crimea, because we have a tempering furnace, we make triplex. We process about 15 thousand “squares” per month,” says Deputy Director of Production Andrey Kholobis.
There are plans to open a seventh workshop, which will produce triplex glass units in the three by six meter format. In total, the production premises occupy eight thousand square meters.
“We have about 100 employees at the plant. But we are recruiting staff, we want to hire about 40 more specialists,” he notes.
People in the village work
As the Minister of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea Anushavan Aghajanyan said, Crimean products are supplied to many regions of Russia.
“There are about twenty enterprises in the republic that are engaged in the production of aluminum profiles and windows. But not all of them are working on modernizing production. This enterprise has purchased new equipment, which will allow the production of large windows measuring 6 by 3 meters,” Agadzhanyan said.
At the same time, there is an opportunity to expand production and release new types of products. In addition, the relevant ministry invited the leadership to take advantage of the support measures provided by the state for rural areas in order to provide the local population with jobs with decent wages.
“This enterprise employs people who live in nearby villages and provides transportation for employees. The average salary is 85 thousand rubles. Moreover, an agreement has already been reached so that next year this amount will reach 90 thousand rubles,” the minister said.
SEZ preferences
The company operates in a free economic zone, which allows it to receive tax benefits and other preferences, including reduced rates and a land plot without bidding to expand its activities.
According to the minister, one of the most popular measures for FEZ participants in Crimea was the opportunity to modernize fixed assets and purchase new equipment.
Crimean enterprises also use leasing. Thus, a regional leasing company helps the Crimean industry obtain equipment and special equipment at 6% per annum.
