We invite you to take part in the round table “Implementation of the results of fundamental research into production. Interaction of scientific organizations with educational institutions and industry enterprises. Training of highly qualified personnel for the glass industry ", which will take place on September 13 in the framework of the Third Russian conference with international participation" Glass: Science and Practice "GlasSP2021.

Part 1. “From fundamental research to practice: problems of integrating scientific developments into the real sector of the economy. Readiness. Difficulties. Prospects ”.

Currently, it is important to create new functional glass and glass-crystalline materials in demand in various fields (photonics, microelectronics, biosensorics, medicine, analytical instrumentation, alternative energy, ecology, construction, etc.). At the same time, there is no connecting link between fundamental science and production, which is due, on the one hand, to insufficient readiness of developments for implementation, and, on the other hand, to the lack of mobile infrastructure in production. Violation of this connection can deprive the advantages of innovative development, lead to lagging behind foreign developments and make them dependent on them, which will negatively affect the security of our country.

The round table is devoted to the latest developments in the field of glass, discussion of issues of their integration into production.

Part 2. “The personnel reserve of the glass industry - to preserve and increase. The Role of Scientific Organizations in the Training of Highly Qualified Specialists ”.

The effective development of the glass industry, the introduction of innovative and high-tech solutions is impossible without highly qualified personnel, the shortage of which is a serious limiting factor.

In scientific organizations, scientific schools have been preserved in the fundamental areas of research of the glassy state and the establishment of the key relationship "composition-structure-properties", which allows solving the problems of obtaining new materials with specified or improved properties, which can provide a foundation for the development of innovative industries in Russia.

Young professionals are the main strategic and human resource of the country, the most important factor in its sustainable development and improvement of social relations. Improving the quality and productivity of scientific and innovative activities of young scientists and specialists, ensuring the continuity of scientific and scientific and technological schools in our country is one of the priority areas of innovative development of the domestic education system.

A negative trend of the present time is the attempts of constant reform, destroying the traditions of fundamental science, which glorified our state in the XIX-XX centuries. This dangerous tendency may lead to a crisis in Russia's social development. This problem requires the consolidation of efforts of educational and scientific organizations of Russia, business and government in order to fundamentally raise industrial production.

The round table is dedicated to the discussion of the personnel situation in the glass industry and the development of systematic approaches to training highly qualified personnel based on the integration of efforts of scientific and educational organizations, industry enterprises.
