Quartz sand processing plant is being built in Kyzylorda region

In the Kyzylorda region, work is underway on the project "The first line of the mining and processing plant for the enrichment of quartz sand in the Aral region."

“The project is being implemented by Dana Quartz LLP,” the regional akimat said. - The cost of the project is 992.2 million tenge, the capacity is 70 thousand tons of products per year, 50 jobs will be created at the plant ”.

It is planned that the main consumer of the products of the region's first silica sand enrichment plant will be a flat glass plant under construction in the industrial zone of Kyzylorda for six years, which, according to preliminary data, will use more than 120 thousand tons of quartz concentrate per year.

“It is worth noting that the pandemic in 2020 had a negative impact on the implementation of large investment projects in the region. And one of them is just a glass factory worth 42.1 billion tenge. The construction of the plant is 70% complete. It remains to complete the installation of the melt bath and the roasting furnace, which requires 4 months and warm operating conditions - the air temperature is above ten degrees Celsius, ”the regional akimat said.

Already now it is planned to implement 8 projects accompanying the glass enterprise.

“In particular, work has begun on the implementation of projects for the production of fiberglass, mirrors, glassware and containers,” the regional akimat said.

In total, within the framework of the third five-year plan of the country's industrialization program (2020-2025), work is underway in the Kyzylorda region on 34 projects worth 557.6 billion tenge, with the creation of more than seven thousand jobs.
