Kamensky glass factory updated equipment

Kamensky Glass Container Plant (KSTZ) modernized its production of ceramic frits. New technologies will improve the stability of the chemical composition of products. In 2022, the company predicts an increase in demand for domestically produced products.

KSTZ has implemented a system for fine purification of recycled water, which removes all salts from water using a reverse osmosis system. The company also installed a digital spectrometer to accurately determine glaze color and other technical parameters. This increased the stability of the chemical composition of the produced ceramic frits, Managing Director Anatoly Shebanov told N. The volume of investments is not disclosed.

Commenting on the results of 2021, Mr. Shebanov noted that the decline in consumer activity in the country last year also affected the ceramic materials market. The volume of sales of tiles and porcelain tiles in Russia, according to him, has decreased significantly. There have been changes in the structure of the market by price segments: the percentage of consumption of material in the economy and medium-low price segments has increased, while the percentage of material consumption in the high and premium segments has decreased.

— Despite the negative market trends, we have achieved high levels of production and sales activities. It was possible to retain existing customers and attract new ones, including those from neighboring countries. The growth in the cost of raw materials on the world market and the complication of import procedures, including frits, makes it possible to predict an increase in the demand of ceramic factories for domestic products in 2022. The existing production facilities, coupled with the necessary equipment and highly qualified research and production personnel, will allow our ROSFRITT brand to fully meet the needs of ceramic tile manufacturers in high-quality frits and glazes,” said Anatoly Shebanov.

JSC "Kamensky Glass Container Plant" produces wide-mouth glass containers of large capacities, as well as frits and dry mixes for the ceramic industry. The production capacity allows for the production of about 1500 tons of frits and 600 tons of raw and semi-wet (frit-containing) mixtures per month. Current production volume is not disclosed. The company works with the enterprises of the ceramic industry in Russia and the CIS countries.
