How a Volgograd citizen built a house out of champagne bottles

What do you do after New Year's Eve with champagne bottles? Throwing it away? But in vain. Other people build houses from them. Why not? - cheap, environmentally friendly, unusual, plus the environment only wins. And most importantly, you can live in a house from bottles.

Vodka lost

It took 12 years for Sergey Peredelsky from the Kolpachki farm in Kalachevsky District, Volgograd Region, to realize his dream of building a house of glass. So far, about 50 thousand champagne bottles have gone, but this is not the end.

The house has already become a local attraction - not only Volgograd residents, but also residents of neighboring regions come to see it. Locals with pleasure show the brainchild of Peredelsky visitors. There is not only a house, but also a summer kitchen, a garage, an arched passage. All of the bottles.

The owner himself is not often - a business in Volgograd requires his presence, but spends his free time in caps: you need to finish the house inside, the roof has not yet been removed from the greenhouse and utility rooms. It is recognized: his popularity is very tired, he refuses to take pictures at all. But he agrees to talk about his creation.

“The idea was taken from the Internet,” Sergei Peredelsky admits. - Bottles are many times lighter than bricks, they do not rot, the fungus is not afraid of them. Cheaper again. Of course, I was preparing for this for a long time. He collected bottles everywhere, bought glass containers at collection points, and friends and acquaintances brought.

I gained experience by trial and error. Vodka bottles were marked right away, as they cracked at the slightest load. Champagne containers turned out to be much stronger. But it turned out that from different manufacturers it differs in caliber and diameter. And so that the walls were smooth, strong and warm, the bottles had to be sorted.

The experiment began with the construction of a hozblok, and only then, taking into account all the errors, began to build a house.

He spread the bottles with a jack, fastened cement with expanded clay crumb for stiffness. Every five rows - reinforced mesh to strengthen the structure. The result was a reliable structure of almost ten meters high.

Friends helped in everything. One of them - Alexander, a former builder, came to raise a roof over the miracle house. This was one of the most difficult stages of construction. The armopoyas was poured, everything was laid out according to the level. It turned out reliably.

By the way, the exclusive structure exists completely in the law - it is registered in state bodies according to all the rules. As the building material indicated "glass blocks". So it, in fact, is ...

Operation "disposal"

Today, heating has been carried out in the house, the walls of the first floor are plastered, tiles are laid on the floor in the boiler room. And if it weren’t for bottoms and bottlenecks sticking out of the walls, the house would not stand out.

But there are differences. On each floor there are a lot of all kinds of retro-style utensils - chandeliers, tables, chairs ... The landlord expects to restore them and arrange an exposition.

And another feature of the house is that there is almost nothing new there. The floor and stairs are made of used boards, the same with tiles. Everything is quite strong, just the previous owners did not need it.

It’s cheaper to build this way - Peredelsky spent no more than 200 thousand rubles on a house. But most importantly, he is for the world to become cleaner. And he intends to broadcast this idea to society, having arranged a hotel in the building over time. Moreover, the places to stay in the caps are just great.

Sergey does not stop there. Now he is building ... a chapel from the same bottles on the site. And he is waiting for the New Year - it’s time to replenish the supplies of the main building material.
