Ivanovo baby food plant increased the production of puree and is preparing to modernize the line with packaging in glass containers

Since the beginning of 2020, new production capacities have been introduced at the Ivanovo Baby Food Plant, which made it possible to release new types of products and increase volumes by 10 percent. The enterprise was paid a working visit by the Governor of the Ivanovo Region Stanislav Voskresensky.

The main activity of the plant is the production of baby food and dietary food products. The enterprise produces dry milk and dairy-free baby cereals, liquid baby cereals, baby puree under the trademarks Heinz, Clever, and Sami with a mustache. For 10 months of 2020, 6.1 thousand tons of products were manufactured.

Stanislav Voskresensky got acquainted with the production process and looked at the operation of the new equipment. Currently, the plant is implementing an investment project worth over 700 million rubles, which is aimed at increasing the productivity of the baby puree production site. In the summer of 2020, a section for the production of puree was commissioned, as the general director of the enterprise Sergey Karpov emphasized, the equipment is high-tech, which has few analogues in Russia. “This equipment makes it possible, in addition to simple purees, to produce multicomponent products in which several flavors, cereals and cream are added. Also, a fully automated line for packing puree into pouches has been installed - this is a flexible, very convenient package that is gaining popularity among customers. The new Italian-made packaging equipment was launched four months ago, ”said Sergey Karpov.

The Governor touched upon the issues of raw materials supply and product sales. As the general director of the Ivanovo baby food plant emphasized, the main raw materials are Russian-made, including the company has a wide range of local suppliers. So, milk for the manufacture of liquid milk porridge is purchased from Ivanovo producers. The plant's products are sold in Russia and the CIS countries; in 2021, it is planned to begin export deliveries to the countries of the Middle East and Africa.

In just the last three years, the Kraft Heinz group of companies has invested almost 1.6 billion rubles in the development of the production complex of the Ivanovo baby food plant. Stanislav Voskresensky and Sergey Karpov discussed further production plans and issues of state support. The planned volume of investments for the next three years is about 1.5 billion rubles. “This will increase the production capacity at the puree section by 25 percent. This year we launched six new products, next year there are also big plans for expansion - new lines for the category of baby purees in spiders, we will modernize the line with packaging in glass containers, the line for the production of liquid cereals with milk. This will increase productivity, production capacity, and quality, ”said Sergey Karpov.

“The enterprise is developing steadily, investments have been made, we have just seen the equipment that has already started working. The company has plans for both 2021 and 2022. Now we are discussing what support is needed from us for these plans to be realized, ”the governor said. “These are all investments, jobs, taxes to the budget - all this is very important for us. I repeat every time that we are fighting for every job now. Investors do not stand in line anywhere in the regions, therefore our task is to create favorable conditions for investors as much as possible so that they create jobs here, in the Ivanovo region, ”summed up Stanislav Voskresensky.
