Import substitution of glass for trains will be launched in Dolgoprudny by 2026

Two more plots under the program "Land for 1 ruble" were provided to the investor for the development of import substitution in the Moscow region. Mosavtosteklo Trading House will launch the production of railway glass in Dolgoprudny.

“Mosavtosteklo is investing about 500 million rubles in the implementation of the import-substitution project. Due to the expansion of production, an additional 40 jobs will be created at the enterprise. The planned date for the launch of production is 2026, ”said Ekaterina Zinovieva, Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region, about the project.

Mosavtosteklo produces about 30% of glass products for trains in Russia and more than 65% of high-tech electric heating products. The new project in Dolgoprudny will allow the company to produce glass for imported locomotives, which will strengthen its position in the core markets.

“For the implementation of the plan, the investor was provided with two land plots with a total area of 1.8 hectares. A production and warehouse building with an area of 10,000 square meters will be built here,” said Anna Krotova, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who oversees the property block.

The plant will produce glass for electric trains, trams, diesel trains, buses and other equipment.
