Khusnullin urged regional authorities to control the situation with prices for building materials

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin called on the regional authorities to continue working to prevent the rise in prices for building materials. This was reported by the press service of the vice premier following a meeting of the presidium of the government commission on regional development.

"Khusnullin drew attention to the need to continue work to prevent an unreasonable increase in the cost of building materials," he said, explaining that the authorities of the constituent entities need to "actively interact with the regional offices of the FAS."

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted a number of important for the construction industry acts that came into force at the end of 2020, including the rules on infrastructure bonds, the law on the integrated development of territories and amendments to the town planning code, allowing to complete the construction of long-term construction according to the old rules in force on the date issuance of a building permit. "I ask you to thoroughly study these changes, they can accelerate the development of the construction market," the press service quotes his appeal to representatives of the regions.

The national project "Housing and Urban Environment" consists of federal projects "Mortgage", "Housing", "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" and "Ensuring a Sustainable Reduction of Unsuitable Housing Stock". The total funding for the events exceeds 1 trillion rubles. The main goal is to ensure the annual commissioning of 120 million sq. m of housing and improvement of living conditions of 5 million families annually.
