The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade assessed the industrial potential of the Volgograd region

Governor Andrei Bocharov demonstrated scientific and technical developments and advanced technologies of production sites in the region to Denis Manturov.

The exposition telling about the work of 16 leading industrial enterprises of the Volgograd region was organized on the basis of JSC RUSAL URAL. The Minister got acquainted with the production cycles and achievements of factories and sites in the field of metallurgy, metalworking, mechanical engineering, chemical and light industry, production of building materials.

Denis Manturov, together with the head of the region, Andrei Bocharov, talked with the heads of enterprises, discussed the issues of import substitution, the introduction of modern technologies, as well as ways of developing the Volgograd industrial sector.

- We use all the tools to create new enterprises, modernize existing ones, and some of them revived. There are a lot of such examples: this is teamwork. We all remember the state of "Red October", how it was in a fever for many years. I see and understand how effectively the new team copes with the tasks of reanimating and developing the enterprise, - said the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade highly appreciated the level of development and investment potential of Volgograd enterprises. In turn, Governor Andrei Bocharov expressed gratitude to the federal authorities for an open dialogue and support for the industrial complex of the Volgograd region.

- The support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the federal and regional industrial development fund allows us to solve the most ambitious tasks, - Andrei Bocharov emphasized and recalled that over the past 6 years, 65 modern production facilities have been launched in the region, 6.2 thousand people have been employed. The Volgograd region ranks first in the country in the production of cord fabrics, it is among the top three in the production of caustic soda, bearings, cotton fabrics, glass products, steel pipes, carbon black and herbicides.
