Господдержка предприятий-производителей строительных материалов

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about the member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, "Siberian Glass" LLC (Sibsteklo):
The CEO of Sibirskoye Steklo, Anton Mor, took part in a discussion on the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR), which took place at a business breakfast of the Association for the Promotion of a Circular Economy, Resource.
OOO Sibirskoye Steklo (Sibsteklo, an asset of RATM Holding) is one of the leading manufacturers of glass containers in the country, the largest recycler of glass waste in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts, has the status of "Partner of National Projects of Russia" based on the results of participation in the national award "Our Contribution", operated by the ANO "National Priorities".
The head of the PPC "Russian Ecological Operator" Denis Butsaev presented Anton Mor with a certificate of membership in the Association "Resource".
Recall that in November of the outgoing year, the second stage of the technological complex for processing glass waste was launched at the industrial site, the capacity of which is 132 thousand tons of recyclable materials per year. The two new lines carry out crushing, screening, selection of organic waste, cork plugs and iron elements. In the first quarter of 2025, the technical complex will be additionally equipped with optical separators for separating cullet by color.
According to Anton Mor, the plant has become convinced of the possibility of producing brown glass containers with high consumer characteristics using 80% of glass waste in the composition of raw materials. In order to transfer the production of all products to this share, 170-180 thousand tons of glass waste per year are needed - such flows have not yet been formed in Siberia and the Far East, and it is in this territory that the majority of glass packaging from Sibsteklo is sold. Currently, secondary glass is supplied to the plant from all over Russia.
- Organizing the transportation of glass waste from remote regions to Novosibirsk involves significant expenses on the part of businesses, which negates the economic feasibility of their use, - Anton Mor stated. - The problem cannot be solved without government support.
The CEO of Sibsteklo came up with an initiative to create a working group to prepare proposals on related issues. We are talking about subsidizing the transportation of broken glass to the disposal site, as an option, using funds from the eco-tax within the framework of the EPR, as well as the introduction of a digital model for efficient MSW logistics, including one that provides for loading empty railcars returning from the Far East to Siberia.
