«Road map» GLASS. Collection of information

Dear colleagues!

The Association StekloSouz of Russia on a systematic basis sent to the Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, PPK Russian Environmental Operator (PPK REO) and other interested organizations proposals for the implementation of the Concept of Extended Responsibility of Producers and Importers of Goods and Packaging (EPR).

At present, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia has received a letter No. 03-25-53 / 39082 from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation with a proposal to consider and express its position on the draft "road map".

The document was prepared as part of the implementation of the annual message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2020-2021, as well as within the framework of instructions dated October 24, 2020 No. Pr-1726GS following an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the State Council by President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin identified the main tasks in the field of waste management: reducing the volume of waste entering landfills, introducing separate waste collection, switching to a circular economy and applying the EPR mechanism.

In the current period, relevant work is being carried out together with representatives of the scientific community interested in interaction, manufacturers, utilizers, industry associations and other interested organizations in order to form objective ideas about the current situation, as well as the most relevant directions for the development of the waste management sector in the Russian Federation.

The draft document provides for the elaboration of the following issues:

• Transition to a circular economy;

• Separate collection;

• Application of the EPR mechanism in terms of disposal of packaging and glass goods, etc.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation announced the formation of a working group (WG). The plans provide for the development of a monitoring program for the implementation of the "road kata".

StekloSouz was invited to prepare information on the presentation of participants for joint work.

At present, proposals for the personal participation of employees of the "StekloSoyuz" Association of Russia have been sent to the Ministry.
